The C-BARQ (or Canine Behavioural Assessment and Research Questionnaire) is designed to provide a dog behaviourist or dog behaviour specialist with a standardised evaluation of temperament and behaviour. The C-BARQ compares your answers with over 40,000 records for more than 290 different breeds and mixed breeds of dogs.

As we start behaviour modification work, the C-BARQ allows us to measure our dog’s behaviour and ability to learn objectively.  It is very normal for owners to feel that their dog is far worse behaved than any others.

By completing the questionnaire before the start of training and then again, in six months, we have a way to measure the changes that have come about. This measurement also helps me, as a professional dog behaviourist, to formally review the impact of my work to ensure I can continually improve and develop the most effective methods possible.

The questionnaire takes around 15 minutes to complete, is confidential, and is entirely optional.
